Hi,

IMHO you must install good antivirus software and to create a boot CD, which to use to desinfect your Windows XP.

Cheers!

I guess all the antivirus is somewhat works like a spyware.. Okay how much of you dont agrees on me? Try any free or trial or license version, after a specific time they popups and disturbs you while working.. whats that then? The most craziest happened with me recently.. i was using McAfee and its license period was over and it suddenly got deleted from my system.. i was shocked to see that.. and after that my system started to give problem.. finally i took backup and reformatted and installed another antivirus for the time being until i find some good one.. Yep i havent heard of Kaspersky [Am i named it right?] from many users.. I watched its video they are claiming to be the best of 2010.. i dunno.. well my point is i dont sees any antivirus program as much safe..

If your coputer is already infected you have boot from CD and scan your HDD.
When all viruses be killed, boot in normal mode and install antivirus software.
You have to know : if you are active internet user, if you exchange files with another persons - you must install antivirus software.
Read revievs and choose. It's right way for you.
